It’s that time of the year again when, according to Zulu tradition in South Africa, a bull is ritually stabbed to death by some young Zulus for some inconsequential cultural reason.
Mind the gap
between what you say you want,
and what you do
Observing what you do and how you react to things, is often more enlightening than thinking about what you want.
There once was a man who was bored
So he thought he should visit a fjord
He then flew off to Norway
where he decided to pray,
for a gorgeous blonde please Lord

so she locked herself away

her solution was really quite simple!
Time is often an indispensable component of genius.
Whether it is a painstaking task that requires patience to complete, or experiences that need to take place before something can be perfectly expressed or created, the passage of time before genius is delivered is unavoidable. This is why it usually takes 10,000 steps, rather than just 10.
Confusing is the path to happiness,
when there’s a conscious effort to get there.
How often we follow the opinion of that tiny fraction of our brains, at the expense of what we know we really want.

A foible of the mind is its apparent inability to recognise randomness. Whether it is coming up with a fancy system for roulette, or following a superstition with conviction, we do seem to foolishly insist that we are the masters of our own destiny.
